Texas Rain - Sleepy Valley Resort

The view looking down our street this morning after a steady 12 hour rain.

In three winter seasons at Sleepy Valley Resort in Mission, TX, we haven't seen as much rain as we have in the past week.

The shuffleboard courts sit high and wet.  It has rained on-and-off all day, although it diminished enough so that by 3:00 pm the street re-emerged.

Work continued this morning on the overpass at US-83 and Abram Road even though construction usually seems to halt at the first sign of inclement weather.

Work on this section of the highway, just outside our park,  has been going on more than three years.  Each year we've been promised that by the time we return it will be completed.
