downtown Montague, MICruz In 2010 included 500 antique cars, trucks and hot rods.  Here, downtown Montague is prepared for a very large crowd to view the cars that will be parked along the streets after the parade.

Beginning of paradeIt began at 7:00 PM with a Sheriff's patrol car from the 1950s and a modern Montague Police cruiser.

car paradeCars lined up in Whitehall and proceeded on Dowling Street to downtown Montague

HupsterThis Hupster from the 1930s was my favorite.

Hot RodThere were more than a few beautifully done hot rods.

1958 station wagonThe 1957 Star Chief station wagon was the kind of car my Mom always wanted for carting eight kids around...

1954 Chevrolt...she settled for a 1954 Bel-Air, much like this one, except hers was red and white; it was the first car I drove.

1968 Mustang'68 Mustangs always catch my eye.  The first new car I ever bought was similar to this one, although mine was forest green and a hard-top rather than a fastback .

MetropolitanThe 1957 Metropolitan was manufactured by the Nash Rambler Company.

1957 ChevroletMy first car was a used 1957 Chevrolet: a green model Two-Ten sedan with a small V8 and a three speed on-the-column manual transmission with an overdrive operated by a cable under the dash.    On its best day it didn't look this nice.

1958 ChevroletI often rode to high school with the neighbor kid whose parents had a white 1958 Chevrolet similar to this one.

Open Air ChassisThis is one of the many faithfully restored antiques from the beginning of the automobile industry.

Old Pickup TruckThis gentleman and his truck could have been transported from a fruit plantation in the Rio Grande Valley circa the 1920's.

Studebaker

Studebaker at one point in its history had the fastest car on the road.

MoxieAn interesting take on the horseless carriage concept.

Paddy WagonThis Paddy-Wagon has a European flair, certainly a unique vehicle in this parade.

BicyclistThis guy may not have fit within the category of antique cars, but the motorized bicycle is certainly an antique.

500 Cruz In CarsThe John Deere Gator signaled the end of the parade and that we had seen 500 cars.

SpectatorsAfter the parade, the crowd moved into downtown Montague to get a detailed look at the parked cars.  Every street in the downtown area was equally packed with spectators.
