This
is our new favorite park. Although we didn't see many birds (we
visited during the mid-afternoon when the sun was at its high point and
the wildlife was hunkered down). We did see many wildflower
blossoms. The family seen here is walking the pathway next to a
large pond toward a Texas Olive Tree with its white flowers in full
bloom.

They
didn't have to warn me twice not to enter. I am not a big fan of
snakes. I only hope the snakes can read the sign and stay within
the perimeter of their own habitat (there were no borders or barricades
to keep them inside).

scoping the pond for ducks and other waterfowl. We saw Black
Bellied Whistling Ducks, American Coots, and other unidentified ducks,
but they were all too far away for photos, even with the long lens.

This
is a beautiful park to which we will return. Unfortunately our
time in Texas is running out this season so we probably won't be back
until next winter or spring. |
